Does anyone have any vintage photo links of these Learadios in advertisements or installed in civilian Piper, Stinson or other pre-war aircraft. These Learadios were installed in the first Piper L-4s that came out of the factory. These L-4s did not have the greenhouse and were sent to Ft. Bragg to train the "Class before one", Ft. Sill instructors. Like the RCA radios all were originally civilian radios and were also installed in the L-2 and L-3 along with the AVA-120 reel antenna.
I am in need of installation, operators manuals and any other reference material associated with these radios.
Just one point- Lear had their own hand-crank trailing wire antenna. My friend has one for his Monocoupe 90A Deluxe. If you need photographs of it, I can ask him. The AVA-120 was the RCA trailing wire antenna. They may have been adaptable to other company's radios, but I'm pretty sure each manufacturer had their own radio antenna set-up.
