Orillia Lake St.John Ski-In

Sun Feb 21, 2010 1:41 pm

Attended the second annual Ski-In at Orillia, Ontario. Another fun event with over 40 aircraft flying in. Gray skies gave way to beautiful sunlight in the afternoon and with temps above the freezing mark we could not have asked for more in February.

Hey Dave, what are the chances of getting the Fairchild on skis? :)

Cheers,

Eric

Pretty cool to see a Stinson on skis. Two weekends ago we spent the day here in Ohio flying my brother's Piper PA-11 around on skis. What a blast!!!!

Actually Eric I was in the Bush on a snowshoe trip all week, wishing I had a ski-plane!

It would be very cool, I agree. EKC worked on skis and floats once upon a time, in the early '50s.

Looks like you had a great day at Orillia! All we got in the Algonquin highlands was grey cloud and steady snow, although it was fun and we didn't see another soul.
