Hispano Suiza engine parts needed for Waldo Pepper plane

Tue Oct 13, 2009 10:30 am

We are looking for some parts for the Wright Martin built Hispano Suiza E-4 engine in the museum's J-1 Standard. Any leads or thoughts of where to find these bits would be much appreciated. Glenn Peck has the plane ready for cover but the engine is still in pieces while we search for these parts. Actually, any Hisso parts would be interesting but the ones detailed here are the most important right now. Thanks, :)

the Denny Trone estate at Broadhead Wisc. had lots of Hisso parts last summer. Boxes and Boxes of parts. I looked at them .
Somebody at Broadhead will know who bought it all

Good luck

Hisso parts

Hmmm....
I guess I should have thought of that one, thanks. He donated his Hisso Travel Air to our museum shortly before his tragic and untimely passing. We did not go to the auction, too darn depressing. I do not recall seeing the parts listed on the initial airplane sales website but I should have figured that he had some Hisso stuff. I'll check it out.
