Ercoupe help needed ASAP

Wed Dec 17, 2008 10:24 pm

I'm currently working on replacing the side windows and window welts on a 1946 Ercoupe.

I need info on the side window "lock plates." Our example appears to be missing them. These are the parts that combined with the window tension screws, hold the window in the desired open, closed, or in-between position. I wish I had a part number for them, but I left it at the shop.

I've already contacted Univair. They don't have the parts, or make the parts. They do have the drawings, but won't send them to me. They will however make the parts for me (I can't imagine how much that would cost, or how long it would take).

I have a feeling I could make them myself, but I'd like something to work with.

Any help would be appreciated (I.E. photos, drawings or the actual part :D ). I'm in a rush because I'd like to have the A/C done by Fri. and this is holding me up
