A Forum for those interest in vintage NON-military aircraft

I just pulled my wheels to do my winter maintenace and found that both Cleveland drums were either broken or cracked. I guess the new linings installed last winter were too much for the old drums. The Univair catalogue I have, listed the drums for $220.00 each. Expensive but I realize this is the cost to play in this game. I called and the price has risen to $1027.00 each and no delivery quoted as Cleveland have decided to stop supporting these brakes recently.
My question to the groups is ,does anyone know of another source or does anyone have NOS drums available at a reasonable price. I really don't want to go to the Cleveland discs since this will require butchering the wheel pants to allow clearance for the calipers.
Suggestions would be appreciated.

Someone on ebay is parting out a 108. Don't know which dash number it is, but worth a try.
Also, might look at getting a second set of pants and mod them for the Clevelands. Then you can take your time searching for a set of drums and have the appropriate set of pants to return it to the original configuration if you ever desire.
