ADC or ACE Cirrus Engine parts?

Sat Apr 21, 2007 6:31 pm

Gents,

I am interested in acquiring non-servicible parts for a ADC Cirrus I (60HP), the upright 4 cylinder used in the early DH60 etc.

I have previously advertised for ADC Cirrus parts in the WIX flea market but recently traded my ADC Cirrus II 90hp parts for an incomplete ADC Cirrus I 60hp display engine and are now chasing parts to complete it for museum display. (the mark II parts are going into a runnable engine rebuild).

I am seeking unservicealbe parts suitable for use on a museum dispaly engine.

I am after 2x cylinder barrels, 3x cylinder heads, carb, manifold and accessories, in any condition suitable for a static display engine??

I am interested in parts from either the ADC Cirrus mark I or mark II.

I am also interests in any parts from the equivalent ACE Cirrus engines built in the USA.

Anyone got any leads on such parts??

regards

If I recall correctly, Ed Clark (Mr. Moth) has some Cirrus parts in his shop down near LAX. Ed passed away several years ago and I don't know what happened to his massive collection of American and British moth parts and assorted other jewels. Walking through his shop was like nothing I have ever done before..... stuff piled everywhere but Ed knew what he had and where it was down to the last bolt and nut.

Try Ed Hammerle who advertised in TAP last year, an Ace cirrus engine. He has several a/c including a DH82A, AOP 9 Auster. PA-18 and a Staggerwing.
