I'm currently building a Top Flite 1/8th scale P-47 razor back. I was originally going to do "Dallas Blonde" that was flown by Lt. Donald Kearns of the 319th FS, which was part of the 325th FG. The 319th was based out of Foggia Main Airdrome in Italy and flew P-47's between Dec. 14, 1943 and May 15, 1944 at which time they converted to P-51's. During the time that the 319th was flying the P-47, Lt. Kearns shot down three enemy planes while flying in "Dallas Blonde"

BUT since I started the build, Hanger 9 released their P-47D ARF in the same 325th checker-tail scheme, e-flight also came out with a small ARF with the same scheme. To make it worse, one of the guys that was following my build thread like my scheme so much that he actually did "Dallas Blonde". SO, I want to find another scheme that looks good that will be a little different from all of the other P-47's out there.

If anyone has some profiles, pics or whatever of some P-47 razorbacks that might help me find a good subject I'd be most appreciative if you'd post them. My only requirements now that I'm not doing the checkertail, is that it has to be OD green, and have invasion stripes.

Thanks :)

Suggest a checker-nose one from Duxford.

WZ-K looks good since it has the full set if stripes.

Hmmmm I wonder about doing something really different and doing a British scheme.
