Hi to all,

I am a 1/6th scale figure modeller, and i am looking for a particular picture please, and I wondering if anyone can help me with it?
I am curious as to whether anyone has a colour picture of a WW2 D-Day US paratrooper, standing just inside the doorway of a D-Day C47 aircraft, without touching the doorframe? Why I am asking this is because I am 1/6th scale modeller, and I am in the process of making up a diorama of a WW2 US paratrooper figure jumping from the doorway.

Doorway diorama page - http://johkaz.byethost10.com/bazooka.html

My Homepage - http://johkaz.byethost10.com/

And I need a picture to use as a background to fill the model doorway that I have. It has to be one of the doorway looking level and straight at it, with a fully loaded D-Day paratrooper or even better two paratroopers just inside, getting ready to step up to parachute out.

Many thanks in advance.

Gary

Gary--

Don't have any shots of a paratrooper in the door, but I took a bunch of photos when the D-Day museum got a fully-restored C-47. I posted them on the WIX Hangar site as "D-Day museum gets historic C-47". If you like them let me know and I'll send you all I have.

Hope this helps

Brandon

Hi,

Many thanks for the information.
And can i ask for the pictures please?
As the Dakota is actually my favorite aircraft, and i would like to make one in 1/48th scale.
So if i do, these pictures could be good reference material.

Thanks again.

Gary
