These "Old School" Model Kits were before My time, I was Born in 1965. They're still Fun to Look at though...

Does anyone else remember the "Phantom Mustang"??
I wasn't allowed to get it. It was "For the Big Kids" Only....
A big leap nowdays with Kits that are already built when You buy them ....

I have a good sized collection of the solid wood kits, including the Strombecker P-61. Not much for the stick and tissue variety I guess. If I want something to fly, I might as well build a full sized plane!

These things are mostly available on EvilBay for reasonable prices.

I also have solid wood kits of trucks, tanks, Weasels, and halftracks as well. I was thinking of scaling up the wooden Jeep kit out of plywood as a pedal car for my son.

I used to have the Phantom Mustang.
