The RAAN began producuing licenced Corsairs in late 45 in support of Operation Coronet and the invasion of Japan. The switch to the Bristol Centaurus engine gave the Corsair a bit more get up and go to help intercept the kamikaze attacks.

Kit is a 1/72 Testors Corsair with the cowling and spinner from an Airfix Sea Fury. I also had to clip the wings.

I can see that in a really 'electric' (ala VOODOO) Reno scheme! Very clever and 'outta the box what if....' Going to do a racer next?
Go to GOOGLE IMAGES and look up photos of a CENTAURUS or HERCULES engine with the accessory case off, three layers of sun and planet gears stacked on top of each other, like looking @ a finely made pocket watch, then you think 'what if it's one tooth off?' :?
