a few months ago I found about this decal sheet, available from Impact Decals:

My dad was the plane captain on the very Corsair pictured second from the top (plane #10) and he said that the squadron number and "US MARINES" was in white, not yellow as pictured.

I ordered the decals in March anyway, but emailed the company to tell them that the lettering should be in white, not yellow.

Today I received a replacement set of decals with the correct coloration. This is my first time dealing with Impact Decals but I was very impressed with their customer service and commitment to accuracy.
