I remember the airplane, it was based @ ASAs facility here @ KPAE and Charlie flew between here and SEA-TAC. I also remember what a friggin' bandit/pirate/tight ass Willis was. He'd certify red tagged parts to put one of his old doggy DC-6's in service, he was also in charge when ALASKA got the nickname 'Elastic airlines' for their 'creative' scheduling, like wait until every other competitor had buttoned up and taxied then cancel flight 1896 due to mechanical problems or some other phoney excuse. It's a good thing Cosgrove came along when he did and grabbed ASA by the neck and spun it around... |
