The wreck-dive photos on that site are probably the best I've seen anywhere. Absolutely outstanding shots! |

A lot of great models. One thing bothers me though - not a single one of the -1 Corsairs has the bomb window in the belly. They're all just a flat piece of skin like was present on the -4s and later. All the -1s had the window or a piece of sheet in its place, but the frame (teardrop on the -1s, -1As, and rectangular on the -1Cs and -1Ds) isn't even present on any of the models. It may also be just me, but a lot of the nose cases they use for various models look WAY too pointy. Anyone know why that is? I mean I've seen a few Allisons and Pratt's in my short time on the Earth, and I know none of them had nose cases over 8 or 10 inches long and some of the ones they show in the images are a scale 14-18 inches or longer. |
