I'd definitely love decals for Fuddy Duddy, since I got my first B-17 ride on her. Yankee Lady would be nice as well, since she's kind of a "hometown girl" (only lives an hour up the road from me.)

Not to detract from Chris' efforts and you may have seen this already, but there's a Yankee Lady kit available from Lindberg.

what scales are these decals going to be in? i need ine in 1/72'nd.
Thu May 31, 2012 10:21 pm
The only problem with the Lindberg kit is that it's a really weird off-scale, something like 1/64. That means you couldn't even use the decals for another kit. Actually, I'm a bit surprised that Lindberg didn't make some sort of exclusive deal with Yankee for the rights to the markings for modeling purposes.
I'll put in another vote for 1/72.

Yeah, I saw the 1/64 scale thing and thought that was a bit odd myself.
I'm also most interested in 1/72 scale but I wouldn't mind 1/144 either. That would keep cost and storage space down if you're planning on building the whole fleet.

i am not going to do the whole fleet, just the ones i have seen in person. of course i do get to see them all, well..........

The CAF needs to get over it's self...granted they had done a lot in the field of Warbird Conservation, sure is a dumb idea not to join up...They are missing a marketing opportunity to sale 1/48th scale models of their B-17 at airshows where the folks that pay out the nose for a B-17 ride, and still may buy a high priced model to built and look at and reflect on the ride of a life-time, and may in-turn pay for another flight in the future.....some heads are really stuck up in the bomb bay
