Thanks, guys. It's nice to actually finish a project from time-to-time......... I'm considering a Chevy bomb truck to complement the trailer. It'd be a fairly straightforward conversion of the Tamiya GMC kit, but those are kinda $pendy.

Incidentally, there are 289 parts in the trailer (not including the three-wheeler or bomb stand) in contrast to the 8 pieces in the Monogram/Revell B-17 kit:

But the trailer is part of the Monogram kit.........so that counts, right? I just bought a Tamiya GMC CCKW to convert to a Chevy M-6, btw. I'll start a separate thread someday when I build that one.

That turned out REALLY nicely.

How much of the kit, other than the wheels, did you end up using?

Thanks, Ryan.

Here are the parts I kept with some of the new white styrene bits already attached. All four wheels needed modification but the only things I actually threw away were the front suspension/hitch and the fuse storage box.

I considered (and I wish I had) making a mold of everything so I could build some more of them. I still may do that since I'm going to build a bomb truck.

Sorry, but I haven't really done much with this project except move it to the rear of the bench to make room. I'm working on the F-106A for a buddy who crew chiefed 59-0074 with the 49th FIS until they flew them to storage at Davis Monthan. The Corsair is a restoration project I'm doing for a group build on LetLetLet.

I may get the other wing for the B-17 assembled this week and dig into the aft fuselage former rings/stringers again soon. This is one of those projects that I work on in fits and starts--the complicated ones usually are.

I haven't forgotten the Fort completely. I assembled the left wing tonight in between other projects and test fitted the flap. Now all that remains for the wings is to fill/sand/fill/sand/prime/fill/sand/prime etc, etc,....... And then fit the engine mounts, cowlings, exhaust troughs and a few other assorted items.
