Thanks Steve; cool that you got to work there while it was happening, though. Similar thing happened to the "Flight 97" (KC-97) restaurant down in McMinnville, Oregon some years ago. They were cool while they lasted!

cool that you got to work there

Well, when you're washing dishes and slinging hash for minimum wage, the novelty wears off pretty quick! Fortunately there were always interesting planes flying around, and the restaurant had it's own ramp for "fly in" diners.
