Update with no Pics  Sorry.

P-51 Strega (After putting a coat of white on it I realized how I didn't fill in many of the recessed panel lines so I putty'd it up, let it dry, then sanded it down so now when I go back for the repaint it should look like the real thing more.)

F8F Rare Bear (My dad wants to strip the paint I applied on it to use decals instead. He thinks it will come out alot better. Im still not sure if I wanna do that. Need to vacuform a canopy for her.)

Sea Fury (Well I decided. Im going with the brute known as Dreadnought as the reno racer. I've already started modifying the tail to be larger and roughly molded a piece of putty that will hopefully become the extended canopy. It will be interesting to see where this one will go.)

More updates with no pics. The 51 continues to get sanded until it resembles Strega more. The sanding and refinishing of Dreadnought continues. Basically Rare Bear is done structurally. I need to do the detail paint / decal and do the canopy. ugh. I have to do all custom canopies. Shot a first coat on the pylon. Need to fine tune the actual desert floor too.

Does anyone know where i can find just solid decal sheets of color? Red Blue, gold, green, black etc.?

Superscale (formerly MicroScale) used to have several different sheets of solid colors also stripes in different widths-might also hit the Artsy Craftsy stores to see what they might have, I find lots of detail stuff for cars (like stainless steel hoses using stretchy embrodery supplies) in the local Michaels craft store.

How did this diorama turn out in the end? Is it finished?

Sigh..... sadly no. It sits on my workbench in pretty much the same condition. I seem to have a bad reputation with starting model projects and not finishing them. Lets see as I look at the bench I have:

Dance in the Desert Sun
Running the Gauntlet
Wolf Pack Maintenance
Rare Roadside Wonder
The Chief and the Squaw
Ole' 927
and The Sheep's Nest

I need to get cracking! :?
