Well this has been an interesting thread...

Any plans for the Corsair? Perhaps a static rebuild and hang it from a ceiling somewhere?

Glad you got to enjoy it, it looked great.

I've had my eyes on a Hanger 9 P-40 for a while now.

yep, I'm finishing my basement into an entertainment room with an aviation theme, so the Corsair remains will be "entering the wall at an angle" with the right side profile hanging out along with the right wing reattached (it fluttered down and landed on the roof of the house unscathed).

I haven't run the engine yet, but it appears as though it survived with the exception of a broken carburetor. The dirt was very soft and the engine basically buried itself about 5 inches into the ground. All the radio gear is good, so it will fly again in the replacement Corsair.
