Same story as the PBY. I want to finish my two P-40B models but due to cat attacks I am missing some parts.

Parts needed for P-40B 1/48 Hobbycraft kit:

props and spinner, wing guns, two canopies, landing gear. :(

Any help would be wonderful.

Thanks,
Nathan

Nathan, I have a large cache of early 1/48 P-40 kits and spares. I'll see what I can dig up.

I have mix of Monogram and Academy/Hobbycraft kits...

Hey that would be great! Thanks!

What kind of Hobbycraft kits do you have? Are they complete? Just curious...

in 1/48... One Academy/Hobbycraft P-40B/C built in AVG markings (#77) and one still in the box. One Academy/Hobbycraft P-36 built. So I have the spares/extras from the two assembled kits as well as a good amount of Monogram P-40B/C spares.

I moved recently and purged my collection of "spares" (about a 30gal rubber maid container worth of extra parts :( ) But I made it a point to save all of my P-40 stuff.

So, you need: (2) props and spinners, (8) wing guns, (2) sets of landing gear, (2) canopies?

I doubt I'll have all of it but I may have some of it.

Ok, I just checked on the parts. I can give you two monogram four piece canopy sets. I compared them to the Academy kit (which is the same as the hobby craft kit if I remember correctly, but you may want to double check first) and they are slightly larger, which means you should be able to trim them a bit. They are pretty close.

I can also give you four weighted tires from the Academy kits.

Sorry, no props or guns to spare.

As far as landing gear, you could probably scratch build the struts from a piece of sprue. I've gt plenty of Monogram landing gear doors.

Let me know.

I'll take what you got. What do you want for them?

Thanks,
Nate
