I've seen both of those models, and both are very impressive. I was privaleged to help out on a project a few years ago, when a local ship modeler scratchbuilt a 1/72 model of USS Wolverine (the paddle-wheel Lake Michigan training carrier) for the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. The builder knew ships, but recruited some of us aircraft builders from the local model club to fill the flight deck. He wanted models of each type that operated from the ship during her career. I built two SNJ-5s with tailhooks (using the Academy T-6G kit) and a model of the Air Zoo's SBD-3 in her NAS Great Lakes trainer markings. Others contributed F4Fs, F6Fs, TBFs, and an F4U.
