Did the late model corsairs (Particularly the F4U-7) use the same Hamilton Standard propeller used by P-47's?

If not, were some of the other appplications for the prop used on the late model corsairs.

I am asking this b/c I purchased a -7 Corsair kit without realizing that it was missing the prop

Dante, I'd go for the P-47 prop (chiefly Ultracast resin replacement) and would not bother about the rest.

Be sure to get a symmetrical Hamilton-Standard unit!

No, the Corsairs with the 4-bladed props had a larger prop spline than the P-47. I doubt you could tell the differentce in model terms however. Find the thread about the helldiver prop/engine for more details.

The late Corsairs had "60" spline propeller shafts with CA series Pratt and Whitney R-2800 Engine's. The P-47's used a "50" spline propeller shaft with "60" spline hub,dome and blades. A "50" spline spider, was the adapter to house the "60" spline prop blades and hub, so externally they look the same! For your purpose your in good shape, even the diameter.
