I have to say that the CMR kit is a real gem and if you have never bought and built one yet, do so, the quality IMHO is superb albeit a little expensive but you wont be disappointed.

Hope you enjoy them!

With paint :D

Seriously, I use either acrylics or enamels applied by an airbrush, although the smaller components (cockpit, engines, wheels, etc...) would be painted by brush.

As a preference, I use acrylics over enamels, as this helps to keep the smell down to a minimum and keeps 'she who thinks she should be obeyed' happy :)

I'm on holiday at the moment and am working on the following...

1/72 - Pegasus Supermarine Type 300 (Spitfire Prototype)
1/72 - CMR Supermarine Swift FR5
1/48 - Grand Phoenix Fairey Firefly MK.1
1/48 - Hasegawa Spitfire Mk.5 'Trop'

...all of which I hope to have finished over the next 10 days but the best laid plans tend to go belly up at some stage!

Thanks for the comments, Tony

It's not the next batch which is the problem but the batch after, with 51 other kits still waiting to be made

Based on my current production rate, that's just over 5 years worth of modelling. Mind you and keep this part quiet so the wife doesn't hear, this is bound to grow what with the new kits being released.

I'm particularly waiting for Trumpeter's 1/48 Wellington (might be able to sell on MPM 1/72 version (but not to sure yet).

I'm also planning going to the IPMS show at Telford in November and Hasegawa's Lancaster is bound to be bought then along with others...

When will this H E L L end :D

Happy modelling, Tony

I know what you mean...

I just received a 1/72 Concorde, man is that thing huge.

Anyhow, with the current oil price, I'm happy with my big stash, I can refrain from buying anything for a loooooooong time!

Ollie

P.S. Can't wait for the Wellington too...
