Hi,
I would like to build a Lockheed Lodestar in the colors of those planes flown between Scotland and Sweden during WWII as couriers. As I don't know of any Lodestar kits, can an Airfix Hudson do as donor? Gotta admit that I don't know very much about those planes in terms of span, length, etc.

You need a Ventura (Minicraft) and a Hudson. Use the Ventura fuse and wings and the Hudson engines and nacelles. Modificiations to the Ventura fuse include the removal of the turrets and addition of the windows. There may be more smaller mods, but that is it off the top of my head.
I want to do one someday, but I haven't worked up the nerve...yet. I've got an article around somewhere about doing this conversion. PM me if you want a copy.

That sounds like more work than my hope of turning a 1/32 F4U-1A into a F4U-5NL
