I saw that in Fine Scale Modeler years ago... And my head has been warped ever since. :lol:

I'd love to do a 1/144 N Gauge train layout with a WWII era aircraft assembly plant.

Here is an N gauge layout of the Kingman AZ scrap yard.

Mr. Lozares B-29 is very nicely done, only problem is, the B-29 was built by Boeing in Renton, B-17's built by Boeing were in Plant 2 over Beacon Hill West and North of Renton just North of the MoF @ KBFI. The ex Bob Richardson B-17F (N17F) was restored in the 10-20/10-21 building @ Renton in the bays where the 29 was built along with B-50's and KC-97/B-377 STRATOLINERS/STRATOTANKERS, along with a few hundred 707's/AWACS and KC-135's. It was then ferried over Beacon Hill and resides for now in Plant 2, it's birthplace until the MoF can build another building.

And where are the jacks and assembly stands? It takes a huge number of stands and jigs to build/maintain an airplane.

One of the things I love about model displays is how few modeller understand how aircraft and aviation work. They'll argue with you for days, about colours, but forget to put a chock by the wheels...

Likewise I love seaplane dioramas. If I could collect 5c for every one not moored to anything, I'd be - well I could afford a kit or two.

I thought the B-29's were built in three locations by three manufacturers.

Boeing in Renton
Martin in Omaha
Bell in Atlanta

Is this correct?
