A few of my older model aircraft

Hi All,

CAPFlyer and Canso42 asked me to post some pictures of my models and master pattern work, so I shall concentrate on the aircraft pictures in this post, and generate a new topic for the master pattern work. So, here we go (All models are made straight OOB):





As the P-61 Black Widow is my favourite aircraft, here is a 1/72 french kit of a P-61A 'Double Trouble'.





This ia MPM 1/72 Spitfire PR.XIX finished as a Swedish S.31.

This is a Revell 1/72 Spitfire Mk.V.









This is an Airfix (originally Otaki mould) 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IX.

This is a Matchbox 1/72 P-51D Mustang. It was originally built by my son when very young, and was subsequently all but destroyed, thus becoming a scrap 'basket case' job. When I decided to try my hand at kitchen foilingh a model to obtain that shiny natural metal look, I needed an airframe to pactice on - I re-built the 'basket case' P-51D. This was my first attempt at foiling a model kit.











This is a 1/72 Revell P-47D Thunderbolt. This is second (experimental) attempt at foiling (entirely) a model in kitchen foil. I figured that if I can cope with the double curvatures of a P-47, I should be able to cover anything - It took best of class and best model of show at my local IPMS contest...not bad for an 'experimental' model!













Thse are scratch built 1/350 scale EE Lightning F.Mk.6 and a 1/350 scale Boeing-Vertol CH-47 Chinook HC.1.

Hey, I recognize that plane! I've built the Revell Thunderbolt with the G9 L markings. This is really cool. although I didn't use all the decals and came up with my own sqn. paint scheme. (My whole model airforce is made up). You did a much better job capturing the overall shape of the Jug than the guy who did the razorback version for Academy. That one just looks like it sits up to high on the mains and lacks the potbellied look that is characteristic of that airplane.

excellent work!! the exhaust stains on the widow are perfect!! with some of your projects you certainly work in small scale!! you should be a dentist!!
