Hey guys, I collect a lot of the Xtreme Detail 1/18th scale Ultimate Soldier aircraft and tanks. I have the Stuka, P-51 Mustang, F4U Corsair, P-38 Lightning, ME-109, P-47 Thunderbolt and last but not least the P-40 Warhawk. I had to build a special shelf just to hold all of them. I love to build stuff though too. Love those Tamiya's, speaking of which I am STILL working on that P-47 Razorback. I have to get it in gear and get it................. what's that???? Hang on honey I am almost done on WIX I promise. To little time.

Great to hear it guys. I collect 1/72 scale corgi and dragon warbirds. I also have quite a few of the 1/18 scale Ultimate Soldier planes. another company is putting a newly designed p-51d which looks amazing. the only problem with those 1/18 guys are that they are just so big!! storage space is limited....not just display space.
I also work on 1/48 scale models, basically US wwii aircraft.
just thought i would start this to see what interest is out there so we can all bring these things up and know if we'll get some replies! thanks!

I have 120+ 1/48 warbirds on the shelf...so the next few winters will be quite busy.

Darn bdk, this one of yours http://image18.webshots.com/19/6/99/23/208269923drTbpT_ph.jpg just made me drool all over myself. I should hope it's operational?

I made the mistake of ordering a couple of Spec Cast Corsairs (F4U type) and in an attempt to buy all the different models, ended up with about 20 different ones now in my collection. Didn't realize how many they had made, no thanks to ebay.................

Collect & build 1/48 aircraft only. Mainly WWII...although a few jets & afv included. This is my 2nd so called collection, and currently stands near 700 kits. This collection was started in 1987. The first was sold off prior to enlisting in the USN. I figured there was`nt gonna be enough room in my duffel bag to tote them half round the world. But if the duffel bags were a wee bit bigger.....I woulda given it decent shot !

Great collections.

I collect and even build a few, mostly American, British and Russian WWI and WWII, and early USAF jets. I like to have the models to exhibit along with the uniforms and flight gear.

I mostly build, but I would like to get a nice desktop P-47 diecast. I build 1/48 aircraft WWII- present.

AD-4W Skyraider ESCI

Dante C, good luck with that! I'm building the Esci AD-4N right now, and if it comes from the same basic molds, you're going to be in for alot of frustration. I would suggest using a canopy and cowling off a different kit because the Esci ones look wrong to me (usually I let stuff slide, but in this case it was too much). I used the Monogram cowling with the Esci cowl flaps to make sure it fits the nose. I'm also using the Monogram canopy because it fits better and is smaller. It's a little devil of a kit but if you can pull it off it will be really cool.
