Does anyone know if there are any F-100 diecast models out there? I haven't seen anything but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place. I would really like to get one in a 1/48 scale. Thanks!

This link I found indicates that Hobby Master plans a 1/72 scale F-100 release later this year. Maybe at some point they will do a 1/48 scale also:

Nobody as of yet has plans for a diecast F-100 in 1/48 scale as of yet.
But as mentioned above Hobby Master will have a few in 1/72 coming out later this year & HM stuff is as close as you can get to a well built model.
Also Matchbox Collectibles made two Diecast F-100 in 1/72 scale a few years back.
One in silver & the other SEA Vietnam style camo.
They are hard to find & very collectible.
They pop up from time to time on Ebay & normaly go for around $50.

Does anyone have any updated information on Hobby Master coming out with a new casting for a 1/72 scale F-100 Super Sabre?
I had read somewhere a while back that the Super Sabre would be added to their line of aircraft that include the A-4, F-104, MiG-21, etc.
This would be a great addition and I hope we will see it, if not this year, maybe sometime in 2008.
The 1/72 Matchbox "Joe Engle" F-100D from a few years back is not too bad, but something in a Hobby Master or Corgi type casting with landing gear, etc. would be nice.

Hobby Master has announced that their 1/72 scale diecast F-100D Super Sabre is due for release in July this year. It will be available in the $40 to $50 price range.
I have pre-ordered it and can't wait to add this beauty to my collection of 1950s/1960s USAF fighter aircraft.
