Post subject:  Flightgear collecting

Im a collector of flightgear from WW2- to current. I focus mostly on Korean and Vietnam era displays and gear.
I have begun to expand my WW2 gear also.

If anyone is interested in learning more they can join the yahoo based flyingclothing forum and learn bout flightgear more...

As a side note how does say korean flightgear hold up against modern gear in use in a warbird? I dont see many pilots wearing authentic period flightgear on displays...

i collect too. alot of ww 2 stuff was still in issue during korea. i've been collecting since 87, i have a considerable collection. original ww 2 leather doesn't hold up well for re-enacting due dry rot, flaking etc, hence all the repro stuff now available. i have gear going from ww 2 up to vietnam, i'm epecially interested in ww 2 axis & all survival gear.

No "bling factor" to impress the ladies in authentic Korean era flight gear, also I'm not sure I would trust my brain in an old Korean era helmet compared to a modern Kevlar helmet.
