I guess I'll post something on the board from a reenactment I participated in. It was at Randolph AFB and some US reenactors (mostly from the Nimitz Museum's group) were invited to participate in the Tora! Tora! Tora! commemoration. There were some vehicles with the Nimitz folks and the Tora pyro team was out on the field as well. It was neat getting to see the guys setting off the charges up close! Here are the pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() Actually being in the flight path of those aircraft gave I think all of us a greater appreciation for what it must have been like to have been there under attack. I'm just glad that the pyro wasn't real. Ryan Thanks to my sister for some great shots. |

Hi Ryan... I just found this board. I saw your name on this post and thought this would be a good starting point. Five members of the AAFRL group are going to attend the 101st Airborne's "Week of Eagles" Myself, My wife Susan, Tim Dunavin, Mike Hartman, Rob Hoskins. We are honored to have been invited. Here are some details of the event. Additionally, this year, we have invited a group of Army Air Corps living historians to act as the "Brass Hats" crew. They will add yet another dynamic to the display that I think you will all enjoy and appreciate. Here is a rough outline of events: 15th: Early reenactor arrival 16th: Museum static display operational (first day) 17th: Museum static display, Division memorial service, Reenactor BBQ 18th: Museum static display, Division review parade, relocate static display to the Campbell Army Airfield, Normandy Dining Out. 19th: Airfield static display, free country music concert (George Strait, etc). Wish you could be there. Greg |

Greg, Thanks for the info. I am also on the AAFRL list and the WW2Reenactors board. I've been watching that Week of Eagles stuff with interest, but won't be able to attend. Hope it goes well for ya'll. Ryan |
