I was planning to be there But there is going to be a Corsair gathering in CT.

Maybe the rain will follow me there and spare Reading a washout.

Hmmm,
I was thinking the same thing, my tent is still drying out from last years washout. If Shannon and I go, and bring the same rain again it will be horrible for the MAAM people. The last two years we spent all of saturday in the car trying to find a dry place to go. Friday was a great tease when we arrived around 4PM. Then by saturday morning the rain started hitting the tent. by saturday night the river in our campsite was unreal. Of course the good day was sunday, and then the drive home to Boston!

Bridgeport is alot closer, We will see.

I'll be there with our reenacting group doing the 25th Infantry Division impression in the Pacific theatre, we're the guys with the machine gun watchtower and bamboo all over the place! I cant' wait though because i also finally will have a ww2 pto pilot's impression together! that will make for some nice pics with some of the warbirds. it'll be interesting to see what they get this year as well, we have meetings for the reenactors every so often in the next months. i'll let you all know what i hear as they are pretty open with telling us what's coming and all.

decisions decisions,
I was planning on skipping the WWII (Wet Wear Too) Weekend since there is also going to be the Gathering in CT then.
I was looking at the Volkwagen show schedule and the show in Reading is also the same weekend.
DAMMIT, why do they have to plan everything on the same, usually rainy weekend.

Hmmm, Warbirds and Wolksvagens in the same fell swoop, or bent wings over Bridgeport. WHAT TO DO?

Always enjoy the amount of aircraft at Reading. Also the most re-enactors
I've seen anywhere. Last years missing man formation had a most unique
combination. B-17, P-51, P-38, Spitfire.
Here are a few photos.
Waltz41 are you in this first shot? (Pacific Theatre)
These were taken on Friday.

I'm hoping that I can jump down on one of the days, Saturday or Sunday. “Corsairs over CT” has the priority at this point.

Hope CT & PA have beautiful weather.

Well,
Sorry to everybody who was planning on attending the WWII Weekend.
For the last two years we arrived here on Fri. afternoon to see clear skies, and have it get crappy for Sat. morning. This year we arrived on thursday night, making that scenario play out one day earlier. It was BEAUTIFUL here last night! It is now suposed to rain until Sat. afternoon!
When we depart!

Hmmm,
The view around here looks all to familiar.
Overcast with a few light spots that come and go. Empty parking lots, no lines, all the big rigs are on the ramp as far as we can see. We went to Kutztown Diner for breakfast, drove through the middle of nowhere, found a rotten 67 Beetle for sale on the side of the road, walked throught Cabela's (That place was amazing).
We saw them feed all the fish in tank one. (Small fish, worms, mealworms)
Wandered the place for a little over an hour. (its way too big)
They have everything you couldnt possibly need.(Realtree Camo Couch-$1800.00)
We almost bought a bag of kettle corn. (it was closed due to weather)

Here we are back at the Hotel, gonna go hit the pool in a little bit.
(Its raining outside and we are inside and gonna go swimming?)
