Post subject:  DWC Directions/Early AM???

Got a couple of questions about the show tomorrow (9/24)

1) I don't see any directions from the web site (http://www.dwc.edu/news/2005AHFpr.shtml), can someone point me in the right direction? I know I need to go north on I-495 to probably I-93N, but after that I assume I will see signs for the airport/college? Or is there a better way since I'm totally unfamiliar with the area? Or is anyone heading up I-495 tomorrow morning that I can follow? (I'm starting from I-495 & Mass Pike)

2) Is it worth going early in the morning (~8:30am)? I've never been to this show and it says flying begins at 8:30, but "flyovers 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m."

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

You can map quest the address:
20 Unversity Drive
Nashua NH 03063

I did that last year and it work out fine. So good in fact I'm doing it again this year.

Hey,

Go past the FAA center on route 3 north
Take the exit after you see Shorty's Rest. on the left off of route 3.
At the end of the ramp take a right, then a quick left. There are signs.
Follow that road back across route 3 and straight to the airport.

SEE YOU THERE!

Will do. Thanks. And I didn't intend to create a new Topic, I thought was creating a new post within the DWC Aviation Heritage Festival. I'm new to using these forums.

Getting there when the gates open is more of a question about how nuts are you about shows?

I personlly like to get there early so that I can view the a/c before there is too many poeple hanging around them. For me it is worth showing up early but to a lot of others the asnwer would be no.

EDIT:
One last thing is that the Bombers will be giving rides starting early and then after the flight demos. Its nice to get to see several takeoffs of a B-24, B-17 and B-25 in one day. That is well worth showong up there early

I think it is safe to say I'm a little nuts about about airshows. Scott's probably sick about me sending him photos for the Registry page. This will be my 6th show this year - But I was also at Oshkosh for 3 days too. And I will be attending at least one more show at Stuart, FL in November.

See you in early AM. Thanks again!
