Just wait until you see this year's airshow act for Ryan... all I can say is that it involves a Wellington boot, a feather, an S-39, and a flaming can of Crisco!

eh, its better than the rocket powered Porta-Pottie 8)

The site has been updated, looks good for both warbirds (the usual suspects for the Northeast) and like a pretty good line up for the modern noisemakers. :D

Hope the Tropical storms and Hurricanes don't kill this years show as well.

Just under two weeks to show time. I plan to be there Saturday only, waiting for the gates to open! I have to get my Jet fix for the year and remember why I love "Pay" airshows vrs "Free" ones.

Hmmm,
Looking back at this I beleive that now it would read:

Just wait until you see this year's airshow act for Ryan... all I can say is that it involves an Engagement Ring, a Chain, a Ball, and a flaming can of Crisco!

My My how times change!

An F-86 got put into the line up. Should be a good show. Wish I could go both days.

Hey,

sorry to see the news last night and see that it was raining in westfield (KBAF)

We had a great day out there saturday, We parked on the fence abeam the Beacon, had the cooler filled with water and snacks, ready for a great afternoon. I set up a blanket on the tailgate and the scanner through the truck radio. It was a perfect afternoon.
On our 1st and only trip around the ramp we ran into a few friends that were flying in the show. Jimmy Vocell was doing double duty in Jeff Clymans twins, C-47/B-25 and Dan Dameo was also doing double duty in the P-47/Corsair. We saw Reese but did not get to say hello, the same for Kim who was flying the L-17, we missed him too. We also helped John and Kevin pull the props through on the C-47. (How come the short guys get the C-47 work?)

Great show guys, see you next time!

Sorry I missed you at the show, Saturday was about prefect weather. I was very happy with the show.

Did you hear anything about an Aircraft doing down in CT? We picked something up on the scanner about a NW pilot and the Controller. I have not checked yet. The Northwest pilot heard a distress call and relayed it to the tower but then there was nothing. I hope it turned out Ok

Nope,

Never heard that one, but we did hear about the two airspace violators mid afternoon. One at 8500' and another at 9000' or so heading up north.
A Cherokee and a light twin, lucky they were not in DC!

Thanks That makes me feel much better, would have hated to listen to the demis of a pilot on the radio. I'll have to pass that along to my Uncle and his friend.

Any idea on the Provost at the Airport?
