I am heading a committee for the local Texas Historical Commission organization in Coleman, Texas that will be celebrating the 60th Anniv. of the signing of the Japanese surrender on the Missouri. We will be having a parade down our main street (Commercial Ave.) on Friday Sept 2 at 5:30 p.m., a flyin/static displays at the Coleman Airport (operated as flying school during the war) on Saturday Sept 3 and Cemetery ceremonies on Sunday Sept 4 at 2 p.m.
We would like to get word out to anyone with a WWII vintage warbird to come and join our celebration or, if they happen to be in the area, to fly over one of the events (notice would be appreciated so that we could both coordinate and give credit).
