Another neat thing I stumbled into.

This evening there is a Fractional Ownership Program with Cirrus SR-22 aircraft operated by an organization called AirShares Elite doing a sales promotion in our building. The highlight of tonights event is a presentation by Scott Crossfield.
A little while ago I went over to meet Mr. Crossfield who was waiting for a few others to go to dinner. I was introduced as a "All around Aviation nut" and also a technician in the building and then Michelle, one of the planners of the event said she had to go upstairs for a minute and I had to keep an eye on Scott. I replied, "He is gonna have to keep an eye on me" and he laughed. For the next 20 minutes or so we swapped typical airplane stories, (like talking to Scott Crossfield was typical) Some about his Cessna 210 and how you can "F*#k the landing gear up if you rig it like the manual tells you too" and others about how he would like to have a Corsair and that he had about 600 hours in the type. I had to play stupid in a few questions because I did not want to bug him like im sure he gets alot. I think the best thing I heard so far though was that the 4th airplane hanging in the downtown DC museum that he has has flown was an F-104, and I quote, "They told me my name is in the logbook but I dont remember flying it"
This evenings festivities should be fun, Shannon is bringing down a few pounds of Chocolate Covered Cranberries from where she works and we will be handing out Coupons for goodies at the two Chocolate shops.
Chocolate and old pilot stories, what more could you ask for?
