Well,we made it from Kansas City to Buffalo in one piece...My son Mike, and I left around 1AM, and made it the 945 miles by 5 pm...Saturday...First thing we did was go make a quick visit to the airport, and then set camp... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just after dark, Jim Beyers, a fellow WIXer from Missoula, Mt arrived...we helped get his tent pitched, and settled in for a nice comfy sleep at around 30 degrees! |

Sorry for the lapse in time, but I got kinda sick while working on the old Poon...But here goes....Wyoming is a fantastic state...full of wonders...and weather...always wonder about the weather...We went through some changes during our stay there...Some days we saw all four seasons in less than 8 hours! Started one morning in t-shirts....by noon we were in coats....by 2 PM, we were back to t-shirts...Nites were usually in the upper 30's, but we stayed warm in our tents...just hard to get out of the sleeping bags in the mornings! ![]() ![]() |

In getting the wings preped to pull, Monday was spent loosning wing bolts, removing trailing edge wing panels, hoses, wires, and cables.. ![]() ![]() Jim and Mike spent a lot of time on the wing...the leadinjg edge proved to be quite a problem... ![]() Nobody even thought of bringing any sun screen!...Mike got a little crispy! Both suffered a little dehydration that afternoon. ![]() |
