Ok, I just got off of the phone with Mr. Freeman up there and apparently they were just made aware of the website issue. Also, because of some issues with the county and the flu scare, they are re-scheduling for June 20th. Ryan |

Man, I'd never even heard of the Kingsbury Aerodrome until I caught mention of it here on WIX not more than a couple months ago. It completely knocks me out to discover there's a WWI collection here in Texas, let alone a flying one, and even one featuring a running rotary radial at that! How could this have escaped me?? I'll be there June 20th, wouldn't miss it for anything. Does anyone have contact information for the Kingsbury crew? I'll be in their neighborhood for the next couple weeks, would like to drop in, if possible, and say howdy. |

RyanShort1 wrote: Look the field up on Airnav and contact the airport manager. Ryan Actually you were talking to him Ryan. Olde Kingsbury is a private field for the museum. When the website comes back up(or if you share), Pogo can get the contact info and call ahead. Friendly folk and easy to get to... straight up the road just north of I-10. |

I do know that... but I try hard not to directly give out personal information on my contacts... I've been talked to before about that and don't like to offend folks. FYI I did send Pogo a PM as well. Ryan |

Something to keep in mind if you are at Kingsbury, Randolph Aux field is about 5 miles away just outside Seguin on Hwy90. If it is a busy day you can sit and watch them do touch-n-goes over there too! I went to College in Seguin, and that was one of the only things in town for entertainment! That and the $1 Theater night! |

Nor do I. I wasn't suggesting you loan him your decoder ring or Mr. Freeman's personal phone # . I meant the contact info which is normally available when the website is up. ![]() But the Airnav works fine too... |

Hey, thanks for asking, it makes a world of difference helping me remember knowing y'all are interested. Fact is, I'm still on the road, and feeble wireless connection + busy schedule preclude processing and posting pics for the moment. But I have a slew of great shots, and will post a nice little selection when I get home. ETA: ~ Wednesday 5-20-09, give or take a day or two. |

Good. FYI, I was over Galveston this week. Interesting how many blue tarps there still are. Ryan |

Yep. I'd certainly caution anyone against thinking that wound is healed. ![]() |
