Due to the horrible weather forecast,
The Salute to Connecticut's Veterans has been postponed one week and will be held Oct. 3, 4 & 5th at Brainard Airport, in Hartford, CT.
Check out for updates:
www.veteranssalute.org

Gates open at 9:00 each day.
We lost a couple of aircraft we can't reschedule, but we're working on replacements. (lost B-25, C-54)

Friday the 3rd has all parking on the airport off of Brainard Road, Saturday and Sunday, parking is at two remote lots near by, the Farmers Market and Dillon Stadium. Buses will be used to get visitors to and from the event.

It's not an airshow, but there will be flight demonstrations.

Blue skies,
Jerry

Oh like it matters?! Haha, still, gonna be a good show. Hope to have my nephew come with his grandfather to the show. Since Westover was a bust, were hoping that this will be a good introduction to the Warbird world. 8)

Jerry,

Great show and you did an excellent job as speaker today.
First time I ever saw a bald eagle in the nature.

Nice to meet you and Chris also.

Good luck with everything,
Phil

I attended the event. I hope it turns into a regular event. It would have been better of course if the weather could cooperate - more aircraft. I'm lucky I went on Saturday as far as the weather goes. It was nice to see operating warbirds again since Geneseo/Batavia/Elmira stopped years ago (National Warplanes Museum). Nothing will beat those days as far as the east coast goes. It was great to hear the sounds of those engines again. I wish the H-34 would have made it. They are just as rare to see flying as a P-51. Being a veteran myself I think the salute was a nice way to honor vets. Jerry O'Neill did a nice job. I thank my friends for baby sitting the UH-1M on display. Not an easy task moving her around. Seeing the 14th production UH-60 from the CT National Guard was unique. Someday maybe I can get my Taylorcraft L-2 Grasshopper there - work in progress.
