Just to make sure that I give everybody an open invitation, on August 17 my father will be holding the 20th anniversary of his fly-in/drive-in event. The strip is located about 6 miles due north of EKM (Elkhart, IN) and is a 2500' grass strip running north to south. The physical address is 21825 Mason Street, Edwardsburg, MI 49112. The approach from the north is clear but coming from the south there is power lines. This year we are planning on three acrobatic which include Clyde Zellers in the SNJ, Doug Dodge in his highly modified Pitts and Jim Maroney in his Chipmunk. Lunch starts at 1300 hr and the aerobatics portion starts at 1400 hr. Usually there are between 20-30 airplanes parked along the runway with everything from paraplanes to ultralights to warbirds (small ones though) and everything in between. If anybody would like better directions just let me know. |

Daffy, I cant' make it but I love the 'germ bomb' on the avatar. A friend sent me the whole story with attendant pix a while back. Airboss, comment at launch was classic. pardon the digression, Doug R. |
