Wow,

Shannon and I bailed out of flying to Wilmington, NC for the airshow this weekend because I was not feeling well. Still wanting to get out of the house for the weekend we went looking for something local to do.
Our usual choices didnt seem al that appealing. (No. Conway/Rockland, ME/VT) So I looked elswhere, and I found a deal near Mystic, CT.
Hey, we needed somwhere neat to go.

"Little" did I know...

Mystic, CT is the location for the Doolittle Raiders 2005 Reunion!

We were at the Mystic Aquarium this afternoon and saw Jeff Clyman's B-25 flying with Panchito along with what I was assuming to be Bob B.s Mustang. Later on this evening we were driving back up Rt. 1 and saw Panchito arriving back at Groton/New London airport for tonights hangar dance. Clyman's P-40 was also on the ramp.

Tomorrow We will probably attend the last signing event of the weekend at the Groton Inn. (2:30 - 4:30) Sounds like it could be a neat thing.

Rob, where have you been?

Shannon and I went to the book signing late this afternoon.
We were able to meet all of the 8 raiders in attendance along with a few other people including, J. Doolittles son, and an author of several books on the boys. There was also a man who was 9 when he assisted the crew of one of the airplanes while in China.
This was a neat event to just happen across, and being able to buy an event T-shirt and get it signed by all of these guys was incredible.

Special thanks to Peter Vergados for taking time to tell us a few stories from the two days prior, and pointing out a few of the attendees
