..According to the local paper, ther was no plan for an airshow in 2008 until San Angelo showed up on the Thunderbird's sked! n(Talk about a lot of hurried planning!)

Kinda funny how there are so many airshows trying to get the jet teams, then they schedule at a place that had no airshow until they decided to go there. But hey, it's free, and I learned to fly at Mathis field, so I will have to make the drive. Thanks for the heads up!

Probably what happened was, in some past year, a request was made for an appearance by the Goodfellow AFB staff. And, as folks connected with it left, it was forgotten, until.......!!

If I happen to run into you at the show, I can offer a later tour of Goodfellow's "petting zoo"...T-6, BT-13, T-28, EC-47, MiG-23, and MiG-29...
