Everyone is welcome to the

5th Annual Canadian Museum of Flight "Up, Up, and Away" Fundraising Auction.

Date: SATURDAY, MARCH 1st, 2008.

Location: Hangar #3 5333 216th Street Langley, British Columbia, Canada.

There will be a live and a silent auction with a bunch of really exciting aviation and non-aviation related items.

Timings: appetizers at 6:00pm
dinner at 7:00pm.

After dinner the auction will begin. Once the auction is over there will also be live entertainment.

Tickets are: $30.00

All proceeds go towards the CMF's many restoration and displays projects, as well as towards our ambitious plan to construct a new hangar on our current property which will finally allow us to house our entire aircraft collection indoors and under one roof (I will post a thread with more information on that topic).

The auction was held last night to a good turn out of individuals from the Langley business community, citizens of the Fraser Valley, and the CMF membership.

We had some really great auction items that many people got great deals on. There were several flight vouchers for local and regional airlines, vintage and warbird rides, house boat rentals, harbour cruises, Wine Packages, etc, etc.

The event consisted of a live and silent auction. With the funds from the two auctions combined I believe we raised in the neighbourhood of $25,000.00. I will get a more exact figure shortly.

If anyone from the WIX community was in attendance at the event I would like to say thank you for coming and showing your support.
