The Alamo Liaision Squadron invites the general public to come out to scenic Cannon Field on December 8, 2007 and join "G Company," the Texas Military Forces Museum's Living History Detachment and the the Alamo Liaison Squadron for an inaugural World War II weekend event in the San Antonio area featuring battle reenactments, interactive history presentations, and weather permitting, a liaison aircraft demonstration.

The G Company members who are the primary "reenactors" in this event are part of the same group that spearheaded the successful Iwo Jima reenactment held in Doss, TX back in 2005. They will be portraying men of the Texas National Guard 36th Division that fought in the Mediterranean Theater during World War Two. Several original members of the 36th Division have been invited to be present.

Other features of the event include working World War Two military vehicles and aircraft, equipment demonstrations, a Pearl Harbor commemoration, vendors, and food.

The public is encouraged to come out in period attire.

The event is free to the public, but on-field parking is limited and we will be parking vehicles in a neighboring field. A $5 parking donation is requested.

For more information about the event including maps, please visit http://www.historicbattles.org
