Post subject:  VFM Big Band Hangar Dance Oct.13

The Vintage Flying Museum's annual Big Band Hangar Dance will take place on Saturday, October 13, in our main hangar at Meacham Airport in Fort Worth. Complete information is available on our web site:

http://www.vintageflyingmuseum.org/events.htm

This event is our big fund raiser for the year. The proceeds from the Dance will help us keep the Museum open and B-17G Chuckie flying for another year. As always, the Allen Glasscock Orchestra will be playing for us. They are a 16-piece band who absolutely brings the hangar down when they let loose! If you enjoy big band music, this is the place to be. You can order your tickets on-line and pay securely through PayPal. All tickets are will-call, so you don't have to worry about purchasing them at the last minute, or worry about them being lost in the mail. And, by the way, since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the cost of your ticket is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution! Parking is on-site and free. Dress code is "not sloppy"; no shorts and no jeans; some people will be wearing full-dress evening wear; others will be wearing casual slacks and polo or tropical shirts; many (MANY) will be wearing 1940s military and civilian clothing. I think most of the VFM staff will be wearing khakis and our blue VFM uniform shirts.

My fellow WIXers, if you come to the dance, please look for me. I'd like to meet all of you!

Cheers!
