I know Gary will be there, as will Eric D. from a recent posting. Who else is going? And if so, what are sone suggestions as to where to stay?

We always stay at the Parkway in Odessa. Clean, friendly, don't get the rip off airsho prices, not to far away, but this is Texas you will need a car.

Quickest way to compare hotels is to go to www.airsho.org and click on the accomodations link. It pulls up all the hotels in the area, shows rates, vacancy/no vacancy -- and even better distance from AIRSHO.

I returned from being out right at 3 weeks, Geneseo and Oshkosh, to find my invitation from CAF, so I"m planning and hoping to go.

I'll be there, generally hanging out in front of the main hanger on "Vultures Row!" Waiting to shoot and video the next arrival. Alan
Steve Rister and I are almost like conjoined twins at the show!

I just received word from the shop that the Spitfire is ready to go, keeping my fingers crossed for good weather etc. Tim the A&P found a broken switch in the gear light system and it is replaced and working.

Guys, be warned that rooms are very hard to come by in Midland and Odessa right now. With the huge boom in our oil economy, and massive influx of people they stay packed week in and week out. A few weeks back our company had to put some vendors up in our own houses becasue there were no rooms to be found. Book early if you can.

how about all the Wixers getting together for a group photo? It would be pretty cool if we took it in front of "Ol 927" since Gary's baby has been such a prominent part of this site for quite some time. Whaddya think?
