I'd love to get some books and a model signed, but I've been told some of these guys aren't too autograph friendly. Any comments?
Thanks.....John

Just find the ones that are accessible.
Some of them are not as well known as the "big names" and I'm sure they will be much more autograph friendly.
Just keep something handy all the time and when you bump into somebody, go ahead and ask.

What about the reunions that are happening during GML?

I would also like to get some autographs of my hero's, but I think some are offended by those that want to make a buck, selling signatures after they pass.

I have a "Book of Hero's" that is one of my prize possesions.

There is lot's of room in it for more!

Kelly Gross is a great guy and very down to earth. But, he's nearly deaf.
He sells signed copies of his book from home if you don't want to brave the crowds to get one there. I can supply his email to those who want it.

I just got "Live Bait" from CKG and read it cover to cover.

Awesome read, not like other Memoirs.

Thanks Jack, for recommending it.

I also recommend it.

Also the 354th FG is having their reunion close by at the same time.
But after last year when 1 person inflicted himself on numerous members
with 50 various books to sign. They probably won't be signing anything at the reunion. One pilot into his 90s became physicially ill during the effort and had to leave!!

They should not allow that, one signature only.

I can't believe people have the balls to even ask.

I would like to have a signature in my "Book of Hero's" from them all, but find many have a bad taste in their mouth.

Genuine admirers pay the price.

I read that Chuck Yeager won't be there and that anyone wanting their money back for admission tickets can get it if the reason they wanted to go was to see him...

I was in the big tent on Sunday and everybody was signing anything. I wished I had more time to get some things signed. But I did meet a few like Clyde East who's Photo Finish painting is hanging above the ole' puter here. It was great to see them all have a great time...
