I'm surprised this isn't posted already (or did I miss it?). Who's going? If the weather is unlike the last few years, I'll probably be there.

I'm thinking of heading down on Saturday. But the weather may paly a part in which day or if I even head down.

I may have to go camera-less this year, if I can't find out what is wrong with mine. I guess I have my point and shoot, 2.1 Mpix is better than nothing.

I am quite likely to go this saturday.

Bringing in a Canon XTi - but I dont have the big lens for ground to air shots, but should probably do okay for static and other stuff.

They're predicting TSTMS for Sat. & Sun. This is gettin' pretty old. If the show gets rained out again this year, it'll be our last visit. It's a "nice" show but not a "great" show. It's definitely not one that we're gonna' put up with ugly weather to go to.

Mudge the selective.

I'm still hoping the weather will come around to something better. With the price of gas I'm not going to take the risk if its not looking good.

The weather doesn't look too bad. Thursday and Friday Sunny and Hot and Saturday a 30% chance of isolated t-storms.

That has been the weather report at the beginnig of the week for the past three years, I think it is for York not Reading. Last year we drove down to York on sat night to have dinner at the Cheeseburger in Paradise, the sun was out! Not in Reading.

Shannon took Friday and Monday off and I am not all that enthused about the drive to sit in the car and run the wipers. But I cant waste the weekend.

Last year the WIX meeting place was next to the 40mm AA gun
in Brian's (Waltz41) area with the 25th Infantry Div. at 11:00 each day.

That seemed to work ok as a group did meet there at least one day.

I suggest the same this year. I believe the re-enactors maybe in a different
spot this year but I think we can still find the 40mm surrounded by all the bamboo.
In the past there has also been a tower with a 30 cal. next to it.

Not to be confused with 40mm in Brian's area I have heard there is also
going to be a large display of US, Japanese and German Artillery
somewhere at the show this year.

I'm planning on Friday and maybe one other day.

Bill

Anyone know who will be flying the The Russell Hurricane down? Will it be Rob G?

I'm still holding on weather and a few other things like a big Dog that needs to be taken care during the day. I may have to pass on this yreas show.

Any word if anything has already shown up?

Tim

My dad, my friend and I will be heading down for the show. We will not get lost en route this year so it should only be an 8 hour drive rather than last year's 13 hour drive  . We've been trying to decide all week if we're going to go, but it's a 30% chance of storms, I'm willing to take my chances. I did find last year that the overcast sort of added to the "mood" for the WWII ground displays, in my opinion. I too am interested to know if anything has shown up yet. We may do a drive by pass of the airport when we get there tomorrow, but our eta is somewhere around 17:00 if all goes well. I'm really looking forward to seeing the ground displays this year.

OK, I broke down and booked a room for Saturday night in Reading.

Now I'm working on a place to stay in NYC for Sunday night.
