I may be swinging through my old "stomping grounds" on my way to the Keys........The dates are dependent upon the results of my MRI, but I'll let ya know!

How come we only meet up in other states when I live only an hour or so from you? Oh yeah, the restraining order.

Scott, I just came from Kissimmee. Didn't take a out a 2nd mortgage to fly Crazy Horse, but I did see Tom Blair's nice P-40 and Spitfire MkXIV come into Kiss and met the Spit piolt Cliff Spink, fresh in from Duxford. The guys at Warbird Adventures invited me over to use their wash facilities, thanks Graham, Tom, Chuck. I then took the time to do a biannual flight review with Tom in the T-6; it had been about 8 or 9 years since I had flown one. Kermit's Fantasy of flight is only about 25 miles away, and Chuck's girlfriend is the Stearman pilot there. It is $199 and my friend really enjoyed the lesson, not just a hands off ride.

Bill is that $199 for the T-6 or Stearman? How much are they getting to fly Crazy Horse? It was $1750 when I went through there several years ago..

Lynn, the $199 was for the 1/2 hours very hands on Stearman flight. My T-6 biennial was a little over an hour for $650, but they helped with the wash job and hangared it one night. I don't know Stallion's prices, I'd guess $1750 might be about right for a half hour, if they do any shorter than an hour.

I am online once again. Stopped by Warbirds Adventures this morning and admired thier new facilities which are quite nice. A nice improvement from the "deck". Got to see Black 3 and some other Fw 190 bits and pieces. I'll get pictures of them in a day or two. More later.
meeting sara..

So you took the FOF stearman ride with Sarah eh?
Cool.. I did that late last fall and had an absolute blast!
She's a sweetheart. Talk about a lot of fun in a biplane..
I was grinning ear to ear. Made my week.
I'll gladly go flying with her again!
