I'm definately in for this one!

We will have to find a common ground for the "debriefing" ;)

Everyone who is going, send me an e-mail with your name and username, I want to get an idea of how many people are going.

Also, I was thinking of making a WIX Gathering t-shirt for this event, anybody interested in that?
(This will be done through CafePress as usuall. However, for our non-U.S. WIX members contact me and we can make arrangements for them to be made and sent to me and I can deliver them at the event.)

I just reserved a room at the Comfort Inn for the Sept 27- Oct 1. I just asked Kelly if she would also like to come, 4 days of Mustangs and Wing Nuts?

Any WIX wives comes, Mike, Bill, AIRIC, Krlang, anyone????

I'd be interested in an XL shirt for the event also!

Tim

(Mustangs are her favorite... I keep having to correct her that Corsairs are much better! 8) )

This looks like it could be an OUTSTANDING event. I will follow their website closely and hopefully may be able to make it there next September.

Regarding a few Mustangs of particular interest to me, does anyone have any idea what the chances are for attendance by the following?:

Allison powered P-51A recently restored/or currently undergoing restoration (in California or Texas??)

"Red Tail" P-51C undergoing restoration

"Val Halla??" F-51D in late 40/early 50s Arctic Red USAF markings (from Calif. - seems to fly in Western U.S. Heritage Flights)

WOW! We are almost halfway through the year already.
A couple more weeks and it will be less than 6 months to go.
I just booked our room for Sunday night, (Honors Points) and I was looking at flight prices. Nonstop from Boston to Columbus, $125 RT.
How can you beat that?

I Got the "Go-Ahead" from my better half
can't wait to see that many P-51's at once

Last time was back in the mid to late 70's at Hamilton Ontario's CWH Airshow, I remember they had a ton of Mustangs that one year, can't remember exactly which year it was - weather was extremely hot too
can anybody chime in with more info?

Todd
