The weather guesser are now calling for a 20% chance of the wet stuff so it will still be a airshow to come to. See you all there....

3 days out...prognostications are...

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. South southeast wind around 5 mph becoming north.

I don't know about everyone else, but I had a good time.

We didn't get to take the girl scouts this time, but my pilot want-to-be daughter got to meet Karen and Tracie and she thought it was really neat for there to be female pilots.

We had a good time. Crew brought a CAP 182 over from Grand Prairie with me bringing over the recruiting materials and cleaning supplies. Went swimmingly for exposure, recruiting, and for safety (not a single ELT chirp was heard when I left at 3pm). :)

Great to see everyone I did see, great to see Carl and Steve do some awesome passes in the T-6, great to see Ol'927 flying (even though the #3 on that first departure was still getting all the "new install" off it), and great to see Stewart and "Needles" bring the Skyraider (did Kevin bring the Stearman or was that one of the CAF's?) and their arriving and departing passes.

Thank you to the CAF & CWAM for holding the show again, it looked like it was a great showing with lots of people attending. Even got some exposure on the KDFW (Fox 4) morning news!

See everyone next year and photos to follow!

Okay, Charlie had said that it looked like the Stearman was going to get assigned to the DFW Wing (only had time to say "hi" to him today), so it's good to know that it'll be coming in. With the BT down, the Stearman will be a great addition for the Wing's ride program.

It was still a good showing with fewer aircraft and crowds. Steve Rister was there and we stopped by several times at the B-24 to ask about Chris and check out Gary's work. Alan Brooks was hawking goods at the table in the CAF hangar. Did they start the Mi-24?

They hadn't when I left, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was started late in the day after everything else was moved around (since they had it in the middle of the whole thing).

They were towing it back when I was doing pre-flight to leave. Don't think it was started prior but I can be proven wrong................

after all I'm just one of those "females" who Gary thinks can't fly

J/K...............<making mental note never to offer him a ride as observer during AIRSHO again> luv ya, Man, but I can't fly

It was great day...finally got to actually stand in the presence of Ztex (we have been "missing" each other at shows for 2 years). We had some great conversation. Spent a long time with Brad and Christine.....it was wonderful to meet them and do the requisite hangar flying. Had fun speaking to little Miss Stephanie about becoming a pilot....Cozmo, was that your daughter???? Got to see a couple of people who I hadn't see in years....what a surprise!!! All and all a very good day.

Looking forward to some good pictures. The B-24 looked wonderful flying!!! as did all the others.
