I'm kinda in a bind. Although I have been waiting a year for the Geneseo airshow I find myself panicking because right now at this moment I am not really prepared to go. Things have been rocky here at home. This week I am low financially due to the fact that I got called off from work several times in the past three weeks. I have been told that things will be back to normal by July 15(I hope). Things I have been planning to get like a memory card for my digital camera so I can take more pictures. But this means I also need a memory card reader for my computer so that I can transfer the cards to my PC. All this will cost me over $30. Then I still haven't planned out how I will get to Geneseo. First was planning on camping with my mom and her boyfriend Friday and Saturday. But looks like he will not be going. Now my mom might be out of work for a while and she said if they don't start her job back up soon that she would not go. Once again I might be left going by myself. That means taking my Jeep that sucks the gas up like faster then dirt from a tornado.

Also another small problem.....I am scheduled to work next weekend!

Anyway, I am going to try my best to get my butt in gear.

Cheers,
Nathan

P.S. If I come Friday do you think I would be able to sleep in my jeep for the night?

My name is Bruce(bfellis). I'll be there all 3 days.I'll be with a friend on Sat. and my wife on Sun. I've been a lurker for the past few years and finally decided to sign up. I met a few other Wix members last year like Bill and Sanna( Remember, The History Teacher)so look forward to renewing some acquaintances and meeting some other members. See everyone in a week. Nathan, back in the late 80’s I remember sleeping in my car a few times at Geneseo. I could not afford a hotel so I crashed in the car. I have made a few deals over the years at work to make sure I was at Geneseo so good luck on that one. Hope you can make it.

I plan on being there on Friday and Saturday, possibly for part of Sunday. I may be with or without my wife, and with or without my father who may fly in on Saturday. If the weather is good and there are reports of any planes, I may drop by on Wednesday evening as well.

Nate,
That's no bind at all! Forget the camera stuff, call in sick to work, and hitchhike if necessary!!! Bring a sleeping bag and sleep under a wing! You've spent too much time on WIX and the HAG boards to miss this one my friend.

I'll be there from Thursday until Sunday. Probably flying the Red Triplane with the GWFM guys all weekend (just look for the guy dressed up like the Red Baron - during the show anyways).

Looking forward to crossing paths with some of the other WIX types who will be attending.

What Pat said!
Hold off on the camera gear if that might cause you to miss the show. Work, well that is a call you need to make on your own.

Sorry to hear that your plans are coming apart. We all hope to see you there.

Tim

I'm planning on going on Sunday, may or may not have the family with me. I've been going to Geneseo for years but this will be a first as a WIX member so I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

I'll be there from Friday PM thru Sunday. I'll be in Russell's Hurricane Little Willy. Look me up, please. My son Ryan will be there along with the "Russell's Raiders": Ed & Fran Russell, Rick Volker (Spitfire), Mike Raymond, Ken Sickau, Dave Semley, Jim Bowser, Gerry Bettridge and Rick Miller. Please come on over and introduce yourself.

Yes, Please. Rob I made a beer label out of the pass! It'll be on an IPA I hope. I need to get them printed up and attached this week.
